Department of Missions and Evangelism

This department aims at equipping students with knowledge and to interpret movements in the history of the church. This department offers courses in church history, mission, evangelism, church panting and growth, and religious studies.

Objectives of the Department are to:

1. Lead students in the study of the development, marks and mission of the church from the apostolic era to the contemporary period.
2. Expose students to an understanding and evaluation of some other religious traditions especially ATR and Islam for the purpose of evangelization of the adherents.
3. Train students in the practice of Christian discipleship, cross-cultural missions as well as vocational and short-term mission.
4. Prepare and equip students for effective involvement in mission enterprises with emphasis on Africa towards the fulfillment of the Greet commission.
5. Produce gospel ministers who will carry out missionary and evangelistic activities with relevant mission strategies for church planting and growth.
6. Prepare men and women who are called by God to serve as career missionaries and evangelists.
